(Risk Management Strategy)
This is for those of you who point to a single person and say "That's my best friend!"
Shit happens. Your best friend might die.
Have a number of "Best Friends". Better yet, try to be the "Best Friend Of" a number of different people. This can be easily accomplished by not talking about one group of friends to another. Projecting the image of a loner helps.

When I decide to eat cheap (which is often), I always pick a restaurant that employs kids. I get better value for my money that way.
Through child labour, the restaurant is spending less. And those gains, partially at least, are transferred to me.
